As a literacty specialist, i did subscribe and and read. But even when i was teaching, i still did the research because it was important to me that i keep on top of what was happening in the world of education. And i think that one thing that i also learned was to zero in on those key words. A, so that as i was looking for information, i could use those key words and filter out the things that i didn't want.
