The Father of Festival Sound, Bill Hanley

Bill hanley worked on the p a for lynden johnson's presidential inauguration in 19 65, and was part of the sound team for several richard nixon campaign rallies leading up to the 19 68 election. When it was announced that there was a massive concert in woodstock, new york in august 19 69, organizers called hanley. Using what he learned working for nixon, he made sure that all the hippies could hear what was happening on stage.
