The History of Barbie

In 1985, Oscar de Laurenti became the first of what would be and continues to be a very long line of fashion designers who have dressed Barbie. At our 25th birthday in 1984, which was a year prior, an estimated 250 million Barbies had been sold. And this is something that Carol confirms in dressing Barbie her memoir saying basically that it was the Barbie fashion design team who like looked at Oscar de LaurentI's collections and adapted them to Barbie's designs.
