process-based therapy asks is what are the bio-psychosocial processes that are most important with this client given their particular goals, and how can we best change them? It basically says, let's not take these trademarked collection of techniques oriented towards these five out of nine's and four out of seven's. And instead, move directly towards processes of change that are conceptually valid, that are predictably valid, and that have treatment utility. The model underneath act and maybe act itself will survive that transition, but if it doesn't, good riddance. Because we'll have made progress in alleviating human suffering If we do a better job of changing the processes that create human suffering
