The Regulation of Cryptocurrencies

There isn't clear guidance in certain jurisdictions, particularly the United States around who oversees the spot market for some of these things. There isn't a clear way to take a token and have it sufficiently decentralized over time through a safe harbor. You have the CFTC and the SEC arguing about the designation of certain assets. It is kind of a chicken and egg on the regulation front, isn't it?
