The Future of Art
I think what we're learning from our students in particular is that people want creative lives. It doesn't matter if you're going to study computer science or political science or engineering, there's a creative practice that you want to pursue. We should be embracing the most expansive definition of art and creativity that we possibly can. If we have learned that art can be transformative, then I think it is our obligation to apply that power to the social good.
