The Sombrero Galaxy
The Sombrero galaxy is what we call edge on. There's edge on galaxies and there's face on galaxies. Face on galaxies are a lot easier to study because you can see all of it at once. The pictures I'm looking up, it's like nothing. You have a picture, an actual picture of a galaxy on your computer right now. This is freaking me out. Next I had to rep the ellipticals. I can't do a list of galaxies without naming Cygnus A. It has a supermassive black hole at its center that is a billion times more massive than our sun.
