How to Treat an Unprovoked Clot

The risk for all comers who have an unprovoked clot is about 10% per year in the first two years and it's cumulative. The European society cardiology says PE can be so devastating that everybody should just be considered as having unprovoked, but I think that's a bit excessive and aggressive. For the majority of patients who require indefinite or longterm anti-coagulation using reduced dose reaveroxaban or epixaban gives you the best of both worlds.
