The Benefits of a Back-O Over Monaco

F1 is trying to choose circuits where the overtaken really allows the sprint to come into its own, says Bernie Ecclestone. The 'tire threshold' determines how much lap time one driver needs to be faster than another in order to overtake at each circuit. F1 drivers can gain a significant number of meters off the line if they are able to get away from an X-vehicle on their way to the starting line.
