In the early nineties, there was no such programm. And so i asked martha frances to essentially help me to a computer program that could go through and analyze the language of an essay. The idea behind it is really quite simple. You have the computer go in and look at each word. And you would compare each word in the essay with some master s of words. So we say we're looking for anger words. We want the computer to count up all the words associate with anger.
