When people are in the middle of a manic episode they suffer from delusions and hallucinations oftentimes. Some common examples include delusions of grandeur like believing you're famous or you're a god but also paranoid delusions such as being spied on or followed. Though mania can have positive outcomes including an increased goal directed activity the syndrome can be dangerous particularly as it's as a very increases so some people who view mania as a source of their creative hesitate to seek treatment out treatment for fear that will dampen their creative spirit But appropriate treatment usually combining medication with psychotherapy can hurt occur the more dangerous symptoms while continuing to nurture their creative activity.
