i like an open ended film. And i think that this movie is full of very big ideas that are out there, and you can take them or leave them. Stephen king went to this hotel that was closing down for the winter, and got this idea and started writing it, and saw himself as a normal guy. He felt like jack nicholson is a guy who comes in a little bit wild eyed, a little bit a, you know, not broken, but, you know,. ant edge. It's amazing, great performances. But iink almost that open hendedness, that lack of like, easy resolutions, is what makes it so haunting. I don't need
