Carceral Saying Ism
Three years ago, the book "Carceral Saying ism" came out. The show has been discussing what it calls a resurgence of carceral policy approaches to disability. This kind of idea that people with disabilities need extra protection from government and other forms of oppression. It's not an approach that says beats you over the head, you're disposable. Although some of that is literally happening in New York.
