Democracies Do Not Need Strong Leaders
Political leadership is an amoral quality. It can be used for good or evil. democracies do not need strong leaders all the time, but only in crisis situations. The watergate crisis in america in 19 73, 74 showed that when presidents fail, institutions can work. In british system leader has to operate within collective cabinet government. For it is the people who decide by our votes how powerful our leaders are. All have suffered more from weak and dictatorial leaders than stronger ones.
