MySQL Has Bigger Adoption Than Postgres
I see Postgres being actually more often chosen lately as a new database, let's say, for people starting. There isn't a way to get a multi node scale out Postgres without a hard migration to a cockroach or a planet scale. It's really nice to be able to do a rolling upgrade where you add some nodes, you migrate the load and then turn off the old nodes.
