David Bianculli: David French has become an opinion columnist at the New York Times, famous role for like anybody that wants to be domesticated opposition. He says it's hard to look at this as anything other than a effort to anoint and legitimate the kind of conservatism that NYT will accept. Bianco: The whole project at the Times, it seems, is to define a whole major branch of the right out of political legitimacy by associating it with racism, transphobia, hatred, whatever.
