The Arms Race to Be Hurt
In the social media age it is absolutely impossible to know whether or not the claim that's being made of hurt done is at all true itself. We simply have to believe it every time. I'm hurt by X, which has led us to this very strange position in society where there's an arms race to be hurt. And you've even seen in the last year the movement from people saying that there should be reparations for people on behalf of racial groups. You've now seen already the spilling out of that into things such as reparations to gays. Now that's a very interesting example because a gay person today who has not really suffered at all should almost certainly not get any cash due
