The Legacy of Yang Leichou

My dad, Yang Leichou was an accelerator physicist at Argonne. He led this small group that wrote the conceptual design report that eventually became the APS. There's a special skill set involved in conceiving of a big scientific machine and then executing it. The APS serves something like 5700 individual scientists every year.
