The Elephant's Trunk

An elephant's trunk is a truly marvellous thing. The upper or forward facing side of the trunk is covered in hundreds of lightly bristled hairs, whereas the rear facing side is more flattened and is lined with small bumps that run along its length. Elephants are even known to pet and cuddle themselves with their own trunks to make themselves feel better.
