Xenophon's Treatise on Sparta

Xenophon provides a detailed overview of Spartan political social and military institutions at the beginning of the 4th century BC. It was during his exile on the Peloponnese that he likely wrote this treatise, as it dates to the period between 387 and 375 BC. In the treatise, he celebrated Sparta for its Unomia, or good laws. Most scholars would categorize his work as an homage to Sparta.
