The Unbearable Likeness of Being
In 1972, Voslav Havel comes to him. Kundera says that the Havel way of like signing petitions and doing this is moral exhibitionism. It is satisfying what you know or you satisfying your own sense of moral superiority. And he chooses not to do it. So they had this back and forth where Kundera writes this long essay,. basically trying to give a pep talk to people in Czechoslovakia.
