Denise George: A Hero in the Darkest Story
Denise George is one of the few heroes of this story. She reached a $105 million settlement for the USVI government, where lucrative tax breaks given to Epstein companies were repaid and half the proceeds of the sale of the islands would be handed over. With that money, she set up a fund to support victims of sexual abuse cases. The National Sexual Violence Response Center has chosen her for its annual award of the Visionary Voice Award.
