How Did You Become an Abolitionist?

Yead andan has spent most of her life documenting, organizing, litigating, advocating, agitating noise about police violence. No onein my family whose experienced violence has ever been helped by the police. They've always been helped by a community. When i've called for help a i have not received it. And so as pretty clear from a very early age, they also, it's pretty clear from my study of and experience of the world, that the police are the front line soldiers upholding all the systems of power and nation i abhor. That i'm working to dismantle.
