How an Electron Escapes the Event Horizon
When an electron goes into a black hole, the field doesn't disappear. It just kind of gets frozen. But to feel that electric field, you need photons, right? To feel it, to have it impact something else, it needs to communicate a photon. And so how did that photon escape the event horizon? Yeah, that's a great question. The short answer is that you don't need photons to feel an electric field. You only need photons to get updates about the electric field. In fact, that's what a photon is. A photon is an update to theelectric field. It's a ripple in that electric field. If you can't really talk to a black hole
