There's an interesting difference across professions in sort of how splitable jobs are. In medicine, it's much more feasible to work 20 hours a week and make about half the money if you do that. But working for a hedge fund, working 40 hours a week with no one is also possible. And so there is something that has happened in some professions and not others that has enabled some of this splitting. That makes it more possible for those professions to retain a larger share of women with children.
