How Could He Speak to a 13-Year-Old?
I was going to solve the vorticity equation of fluid dynamics using the stress tensor. And I suddenly realized at that moment, 15 years old, that it didn't matter how big our computers were, we were never going to be able to forecast the atmosphere correctly because you need to know the friction coefficient of air. So that was literally one of the formative experiences for me. and I pursued that bibliography and I got copies of all the papers and read them and worked through gravitation.
