How Does the US Government Financing Social Security?

Peter Bergen: Social Security is financed the way it's being financed right now, even though there are trust funds. He says when a treasury bond is held by the US government, it ceases to be an asset because it's also its liability and so it's nothing. So where does the money come from to pay Social Security benefits? It comes from the people who are currently paying taxes, he says.
