The Axe Man's Killing
Mike Pepitone was home with his wife and six children on October 27, 1919. His wife awoke to the sound of a struggle coming from her husband's room. Blood spatter covered the walls, including on a painting of the Virgin Mary over Mike's bed. The toll was now up to seven attacks, five dead and six seriously injured.
