School Shootings - What Goes Wrong?
I wonder if we can talk through a few recent examples of mass shootings so we can kind of analyze where the violence prevention got stuck. The shooting that I can't stop thinking about is the one that happened in Newport News, Virginia with a very small child. It's especially horrific because everyone seemed to know there was something going wrong with this child. So what went wrong as a six year old had access to a gun? How do you build those systems in schools where people are communicating?
