Myanmar is in the middle of a civil war, and geo political analysts believe that it's imminent. Their economy contracted 20 % in 20 21 alone after sanctions were put on them. Many ethnic groups there have their own insurgency forces, and they actively fight against the militarythat's takin control. It further just shows that sanctions against a government work under the assumption that that government cares about its people.
