Supermassive black holes are a fundamental part of galaxies almost, right? They live in the centers of most galaxies. M87 is one of the special ones because it has this big jet coming out of it. So it's very nice to get a look at one that has a jet up close. And actually, our Milky Way black hole, Sagittarius A star, isOne of the very common boring ones. The fact that we can have both of them and look at both of them is kind of specialBecause they give us kind of two very different classes of black holes that end up looking very much same.
