Wicked people will forever deny the existence of any hateful feelings or vengeful motives. They are absolutely certain about their own righteousness, and so they do not question their motives. To empathize compassionately would bring the wicked woman too close to contemplating the possibility she harmed another person. If you tell a wicked man how he has hurt you, he may listen attentively but you will walk away from the conversation feeling like he just didn't get it.
