In California, my driver's license, I had to opt out of giving my organs. In Oregon, you are giving your organs unless you opt out. Those are all examples of structural values that are, in a sense, imposed on us by either government or a corporation. You can still decide, no, I'm not going to get married. But you're going to pay for it. It's going to take some effort or some money out of you.
