The Early Celts and the Early Celtic Language
The linguistic ancestors of the celts were located in south eastern europe. Late in the second millennium b c, they began a migration northwestward along the southern side of the carpathian mountains into modern hungary and then further westward into modern austria. By this point, these early celts had discovered the first organized farming in northern europe.
