I wasn't alive back in 19 33, and i'm not an expert on all the relevant factors that applied at the time. While anti new deal business leaders had some legitimate points, i don't think that their wisdom was markedly superior to that of the american people as a whole. The way they were willing to use intimidation and force to get their way suggests that they recognized they couldn't get their way dem atically. And indeed, f d r would go on to win in a landslide in the 19 36 election. That makes me sceptical of the proposal that the conditions needed for armed resistance were fulfilled.
