The Importance of Transitioning to a Modern Economy
As soon as a nation's average, um, per capita income goes above $5,000, that's when their birth rate starts falling. And especially because, you know, high correlates to higher levels of fertility are also female disempowerment and low female education and low access to birth control. If we don't have that demographic transition in a slow and very intentionally managed way, there is no intentional management of it.
