The Role of the Writers Guild in the Industry

The writer's guild strike is just a new way for these massive production houses in Hollywood to squeeze more profit from their workers. They're trying to make the writers room smaller, basically non-existent. The streamer platforms operate as well, make it so that they can totally package up your show and not offer any kind of residuals. I heard that networks will literally just shelve a show so that they don't have to pay residuals. And 9-11, that's my forbidden topic.
