Just the left hand side of your heart will pump out your entire blood's worth in a single minute. So that has to go to the three or thirty trillion cells in your body. And so they have to get enough force of blood to kind of give all the good things that are in the blood for the survival of those cells. When it relaxes, it fills with blood and when it contracts, it ejects blood.
