Make it easy for your manager to make a decision. Your team is probably the best thermometer for your performance. If you can impress them and help them, it's going to make your life so much easier. Think long term. Some one that you work with to day, ten years from now, might give you an opportunity just because you did a good job. And deywould think about you. So i would get a new job because someone referred me.
