How to Decompose a Monolithic Application
A Strangler Fig migration pattern is the same. The monolith does everything we need to do, but our new system only maybe does like a 1% of the functionality. So what we do is we wrap that new functionality around the old. It doesn't work for every piece of functionality; it only really works for things that you can kind of divert the perimeter of your existing monolithic application.
