Compassion and Bodhicitta in Buddhism

Bodhachita is usually given as the wish for an end of suffering for others. To really be in touch with the suffering of others you need to be in touch, as far as I can tell, with our own pain. The only way to do that with integrity is to do it from the inside out. And because you get to compassion, real compassion, felt compassion, rather than, you know, like an idea, me all being happy.
