The Power of Subscription Marketing

Netflix was one of the first companies to demonstrate you could apply a subscription model to something other than magazines or record and tape clubs. Netflix pioneered streaming, but I think that almost a bigger one is that we were able to sell things which were completely non-intuitive to sell via subscription. And if you look what's happening now, certainly in the software industry, well, and even in the consumer package goods industry, we're seeing subscription models being applied almost universally.
