Ancient Egypt - Amirtius of Sace

Amertius was the only pharaoh of the 28th dynasty of Egypt. He launched a coup and officially declared himself as the new king of Egypt with his capital at Sace. The spread of native Egyptian influence was a gradual process though, as Papayri from Elephantine shows that Upper Egypt still remained under Persian control until sometime between 400 to 398 BC.
