Spurs Defend for Their Lives, Right?
Tottenham have been playing with 10 men for much of the season. The opposition are more or less defending for their lives from the very first whistle. I think Conte probably looks at his attacking options and thinks with Son, Hill or Rachellesson, they're kind of suited to breaking into space. So maybe he doesn't want to be constantly in control of possession and taking the game to your position. He wants to play a bit more reactively with space to break into. But of course, if you can't engineer those situations, nothing's really happening. And that has been the case particularly in some of the big games.
