The Dionysian Is the Original Art Form

The Dionysian is seen to be, compared to the Apollinian, the eternal and original artistic power that first calls the whole world of phenomena into existence. And it is only in the midst of this world that a new transfiguring illusion becomes necessary in order to keep the animated world of individuation alive. The Dionysian, to the extent that we are absorbed into it, is being absorbed into the primordial one. That's everything. So not to speak of the best of all possible worlds, even if you're on the worst of all possible Worlds. Tragedy, the power of art is that powerful.
