The Influence of Politics on My Writing

I want you to talk about actually your politics, because they really informed this. Tell us a little bit about your politics, and then we'll bring back into the writing. I think there's a lot of misconceptions about what that would mean to be a socialist. But that kind of basically, politics that is very skeptical of capitalism and that way of organizing society is something that in various forms has been a big part of my life.
