i think sometimes when we think about that era israel's history, we think of it as this bleak and violent. But deuteronomy six ten speaks of the great and good cities that you did not build. And then verse 11 speaks of houses full of all good things that you didn't fill with cisterns,. vineyards and olive trees That's clearly a relationship that's going to be based on faith and remembering god in redemption. He doesn't say muster up all your moral fibre and he doesn't say "don't apologize" No, dont don't apologize. Amen.
