A lot of a lot of the tropes about witchcraft see like i heard all the time growing up all that stuff was silly right it was myths but it's actually based in things that they really did do. Prior to the medicalization of abortion, midwives were usually witches or witches were usually midwives so a lot of midwives were accused of witchcraft because they were doing that. From a more christian perspective you can say well maybe we shouldn't burn the mistake but you can see why this would lead to something like having her arrested in her entrails for murderThings like that.
