The Death Penalty

The Prime Minister is currently delivering a speech in which he'll be told by business leaders that vast labour shortages need to be addressed with increased immigration. This weekend I read that the government was contemplating a Swiss style arrangement with the EU. Can you ever remember having a produced House of Lords debate? It's a bit of an open goal. Have we ever done one on this show? I don't think we have, you know? You'll probably find evidence now that we did, but it just hasn't mattered for so long. And it seemed a pointless conversation anyway because there was never much prospect of anything changing.
