The late sixties, in the early seventies had really impacted a public perception about latter day saints. The forger turned murderer, mark hoffman starts gaining a lot of national attention too. But at the very time that the church is promoting its family values, this is the time when we start to feel the ground shift a little bit towards families and towards especially the roles and rights of women.
